We are delighted to announce that the Rev'd Jake Madin and the Rev'd Hannah Madin have been appointed as joint Vicars of St. John Newland.  We look forward to welcoming them to the family of SJN in the near future.  

Here is a message from Jake and Hannah:

We are so excited to have been appointed as joint Vicars at SJN. We cannot wait to get to know you all and follow Jesus with you. We have been so excited to hear about what God is doing in Newland and we are looking forward to joining in.

 We met whilst training to be Vicars and have shared a joint ministry in Scarborough for the last five years. Before that we were living in York where Hannah worked closely with your wonderful curate Jenny. In our spare time we enjoy playing board games, cooking, making things and going for days out with our children who are 4 and 5.

We are praying for you as we prepare to come and join you.
