Giving to the project

The cost of converting and equipping the expanded Newland Christian Centre is estimated at £300,000.

You could support the Building Project in one or several ways:

  • Make a one-off transfer of funds electronically.
  • Make a one-off donation by cheque or cash.
  • Pledge a one-off payment(s) at a later date(s).
  • Give regularly.

Please complete one of the yellow giving forms to accompany your gift or pledge, even if you have made an electronic transfer of funds, and put it in the collection bags in church, or hand it to Allan Smith (the Newland Christian Trust Treasurer), c/o the church office, or to one of the ministers. This will enable us to plan ahead.

Gift Day - 1 July 2018

Our Gift Day on 1 July had raised an amazing £160,000 by the end of the first week. It's still not too late to make your donation.

NB There are special arrangements for giving for our Gift Day - please see the green giving slip for instructions. (It includes an optional Gift Aid declaration.) Please complete this slip and place it with your gift in an envelope (special Gift Day envelopes are available in church but any envelope clearly marked as Gift Day will do) and put it in the collection at church or give it to Allan Smith, c/o the Church Office, or one of the ministers.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer and you are eligible to do so, do please ‘Gift Aid’ your donation. This enables us to reclaim 25p of tax for every £1 that you give.

Please contact Allan Smith, the Trust Treasurer to discuss the most effective way you can give, or if you plan to give in several different ways.

For most people, we will be able to claim Gift Aid on gifts up to five times the tax thay have paid. However, some people may find, when they add together all their giving in a single tax year, that it is greater than the amount which is eligible for Gift Aid. In these circumstances, they could maximise the amount we can reclaim if they split their giving over more than one tax year. The Trust Treasurer will be able to advise.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.”
