The video keeps freezing.
Watching video uses up a lot of your broadband capacity. If the network is busy this may cause the picture to freeze. This seems to be a particular problem in the Hull Karoo area during the early evening time, but there's nothing we can do about it. You can always catch up on the service later.
When is the service broadcast?
The live broadcast runs from about 10.20am to midday (or later if the service goes on longer), and from about 6.20pm to about 7.45pm. At other times you can watch the most recently recorded services, which are kept for a week.
The video does not work on my device.
The video service should automatically provide a suitable player for the device you are viewing on. We have tested it on PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android phones/tablets. If you have difficulties please contact us for further help. If you are viewing on a mobile device you will probably need a wifi connection for reliable playback, we have found that 3G/mobile service is often not fast enough.
There is a privacy issue with the video.
We try to be very careful only to show people in the video who have given their permission. Please contact the church office by phone, using the numbers on the Contact page.
My church wants to do this, how are you doing it?
We are using 4 remote control videoconferencing cameras fed through a vision mixer into a PC, which is encoding the video using Flash Media Encoder and uploading it to Bambuser, who then distribute the video stream to viewers. We have one operator running the system at every service.
