Our church family had the privilege of being involved in a wonderful cross-cultural short term mission in July 2017, serving alongside our brothers and sisters in Romania.
We visited one of the most beautiful areas of Romania and, together with Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) Romania, we organised a Bible study summer camp for children between 9 and 14 years old.
Our dedicated team of volunteers was tasked with organising and leading the big games, crafts and music/drama workshops, whilst also assisting in teaching children about God through a series of daily Bible studies, devotions and casual conversations held throughout the day.
We had the opportunity to minister to a number of children from CITAM's prison ministry, some of whom had never heard about Jesus before. As we ministered to these children prayerfully, we formed many good friendships.
In our free time, we were able to experience the local culture of beautiful Bran in Transylvania.
Spending time in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Romania reminded me that in Christ we are all family. It was amazing to see how, despite the fact that we spoke different languages and had completely different life experiences, we instantly connected because of our shared love for Christ and our desire to share the Gospel with the children we were serving.
